South Wales Against Wrongful Conviction is a long-standing organisation in South Wales which has successfully supported several miscarriage of justice cases. It seeks to offer support and advice to those wrongly convicted and their families and friends in their struggle for justice and to campaign for greater safeguards against wrongful conviction and a fairer, more rational and effective appeal system.

Innocence Week
The second Cardiff Law School Innocence week will be held 20th - 25 February 2012. All week students, staff and members of the public will be concentrating on educating and raising awareness of the problem of wrongful convictions while at the same time raising funds for SWAWC. The two main public events which are free and open to the public will be on the Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

Cardiff University
The group has close links with the Cardiff University Law School Innocence Project and is supported in many of its organisational, fundraising and campaigning activities by a team of students from the Innocence Project.
